An Epidemic Overshadowing An Epidemic

Chikungunya doesn’t have the exotic name and the mortality rate that demands media attention, and has become an epidemic overshadowed by the ongoing Ebola epidemic. This post is not to draw a comparison, simply highlight an article published in The Guardian that helps shed light on the emergence of a new arbovirus epidemic in South America. Back in October, I published an article about Chikungunya where I discussed the outbreak in depth.
